paging Dr. Quinn . . .

LOOK at what I ordered! :D

Yes. That's right! It's Dr. Michaela Quinn and company. I just ordered the complete series. :D

Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman was one of my absolute favorite shows back in the 90s. Wholesome, adventuresome, romantic, and SEXY! (Joe Lando, anyone?)

I miss shows like this.

If you've never seen it, give it a chance. It's great entertainment.

The Lion King!

I went to the Lion King re-release this weekend. :D YAY!

Yes. I am in my 30s, and I was a teenager when it was released the first time around, but that means I was old enough to remember everything. Good thing. I smiled all the way through. :-D

I think most adults who went to see it just wanted to re-live a part of their childhood, and some wanted their children to experience it too. Whatever the reason, it was fantastic all around. :-D

The film topped the box office this weekend, which only proves Hollywood movies nowadays are definitely NOT what they use to be, and people WANT good movies!

If you haven't seen it - you might live in a hole.

Memories. . .

to health . . .

With a high stress job and fast past life, its very easy to forget about taking care of your body. So lately I have been trying to better my diet. Daily fast food and stress can lead to some pretty bad moments - like waking up late and constantly being late to work. :| Guilty.

A few months back I stumbled across this youtube channel and its become one of my favorites. I actually took some of her examples to heart - my manuka honey and tea recipe stemmed from one of her videos. Her name is Natasha St. Michael, and she is a raw food and health advocate. I really admire her will and excellent instruction.

I'm hoping that following some of her examples I can better my health, especially living in Arizona, with its heat, dust and pollution. I suffer from horrid allergies and asthma.

Currently I'm trying to cut back on sugar, slowly weening myself off. I'm also trying to do the same with processed foods and soda.

Take a look for yourself. You might find something that will help.

tacos and tats . . .

Not too long ago I posted about a couple of my favorite downtown phoenix food spots. Chico's Grill was one of them. My latest visit bought me some delicious taquitos and chicken tacos. :D YUM!

While there I noticed some cards on the counter. Chico's sometimes lets locals leave their adverts.

A little black card was sitting on the counter so I picked it up. It was all black with the words "Ink Army" printed on it, along with a website. Intrigued, I visited the website and discovered it was a site for tattoos and artist photos.

COOL!

I don't have any tattoos, but I love to look at all the beautiful work. Someday I might decide on something.

Interested? You can visit the website at www.inkarmy.com

Enjoy.

oh vanity . . .

if I had my choice I would have an entire room just for my clothes, and makeup. Also shoes, and every other girly item known to WOman. . . it would be my own little corner of the pretty universe. :)

Only in Beverly Hills . . .

Those rich bitches are back!

Season 2 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered last night, and it was just as dramatic as last season.

Elaborate dinner parties with bad food must be the norm in Beverly Hills (I'll never know)  Excess and not knowing what to do with it . . .

Anyhow, last night involved drama and a dinner party . . . and so on.

It's just starting, so it will be interesting to see how everything plays out, especially with Taylor's husband's suicide. The show started out with a sitdown between the cast (minus Taylor) talking about Russell and the suicide.

That new Brandi barbie lady (the one who's husband LeeAnn Rimes stole) hasn't made her appearance yet, but she looks like trouble!

Poor Lisa, I think she's being set up to be the villain this year. The British! Of course. :|

I still do not understand Adrienne and Paul's relationship. It seems like a disaster, but whatever. It's their money. They will stay married if they want to.

Camille is less interesting NOT being a bitch. Hmmm.

The most interesting thing about this episode was probably Jiggy, and Adrienne's new face.

Looking forward to the season! :D

ouch . . .

I have been suffering from a migraine for the past two days. . .  ;(

I have my screenlight turned low and I have been trying to keep as calm as possible. . . doesn't work if you have to work . . . with others. :{

Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow, and post a happy blog.

End sick rant.

the retro files

So I am a huge X Files fan. However, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to being a hardcore x-phile (but I can tell you the name of every episode if need be, with maybe the exception of season 9. . . what season 9?)

Anyhow, I remember the thrill and newness of the show. I loved every minute (except most of season 9), and it remains my favorite show to date.

I stumbled across some pretty classic pictures that I collected over the years of the two stars. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. . . . and I could not stop LAUGHING! HA! Just look at them!

My how the years go by . . .

They met in high school. . . when she was just 15, and he 18. ;p

It's like an early 90s advert for dating, or a 90210 promo!

ADORKABLE! :D
