Last weekend I ventured out to
Cityscape in downtown Phoenix. Until then, I never had the chance to check out what it had to offer. I figured it was time for a summer wardrobe and a quick glance at the downtown shops.
I headed over to the
West of Soho shop first. The shop is a small boutique with very cute clothing and accessories. I, however, came out empty handed. (I am extremely picky about what I wear and the money I spend) The items were all reasonably priced, but I decided they were not for me. But I do recommend it!
I also headed over to
Starbucks for a quick drink and rest (being about 106 degrees outside).
Next, I headed over to
Urban Outfitters. After wandering around the store for a while, I also decided nothing there was for me. I was disappointed with the shop because I was hoping for a wide selection of cute dresses for the summer, most especially Maxi style dresses, which was the one item I was looking for, but they didn't have much to choose from.
I wandered around Cityscape a bit but decided that it was just too hot after about an hour.
All in all, I think its a great little area to hang out, when the time is right, and summer is not the right time. I do recommend more shaded spots. But the foundation in the middle of the court is nice and cute.
I think I'm more use to stores such as
Forever 21 and
Ulta. If Cityscape were to open those stores, I'm convinced it would be more popular!
I didn't have a chance to visit
Charmin Charlie's, but that will be next on my list if I'm looking for any accessories.
I love Phoenix, and I am happy to see it expanding and growing. It still has a ways to go, but its getting there.
Keep bringing those shops around!
:D
Peace.
